Plain-language summary of how MacBid operates. Have a lawyer review this before taking live payments.

What you are buying

A position on a public leaderboard, held for as long as no one pays more. You are not buying a guaranteed duration, a guaranteed amount of traffic, a permanent placement, or any endorsement. Positions change whenever someone else bids.

Payments and refunds

• Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as merchant of record and handles applicable sales taxes.
• Bids are final and non-refundable. Being outbid is the expected behaviour of the board, not a fault.
• A rank is claimed only when payment is confirmed. Failed or abandoned checkouts change nothing.

What you may list

• Software that runs on macOS, which you own or are authorised to promote.
• No malware, no misrepresentation of what an app does, no adult content, no chat or invite links, and no affiliate or tracking URLs.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit and for the app on the other end of the link.

Removal

Listings that break these terms may be hidden or removed. Where a listing is removed for breaking the rules, bids are not refunded.
