Add a Mac app.
Free, and there is nothing to buy. Paste the app’s own domain and we read the rest from Homebrew, the App Store and the app’s own bundle.
What gets listed
- Software that runs on macOS, listed by its own website domain.
- Domains only — not an App Store page, a repository or a marketplace listing. Those are somebody else’s page about the app.
- One domain is one listing, so an app cannot appear on the board twice.
- The link has to load. A domain that serves nothing is refused.
- No link shorteners, no chat or group invites, no adult content. Query strings are stripped, so affiliate and tracking URLs will not survive.
You do not have to own it
Anyone can add any Mac app, including one they had nothing to do with. Nothing on the listing is written by whoever submitted it — the description comes from the app’s own page and the facts come from its bundle — so there is nothing to gain by submitting your own rather than waiting for somebody else to.
And nothing to pay
The board used to sell position: your app ranked where your money put it. That is over, and it is not coming back in that shape. The reasoning is written down, along with what would have to be true before anything on this site is for sale again.
